While the Praktica super TL1000 of 1980 looks like a MTL3 without delay action release and PC sync socket, it is generally classified a fourth-generation L-series camera; in fact it can be considered the first of the fourth-generation model before the introduction of the genuine article, the MTL5, and is the only camera with the super TL appellation with a top shutter speed of 1/1000s.¹⁾
